Vaughan Collins, AM
Research Coordinator
Vaughan is a research coordinator at the UW ALACRITY Center and SMART Center where they bring their experience in human development and both educational and developmental psychology. Their work focuses on the implementation of evidence-based practices across a multi-tiered system of supports in educational settings. Projects they have previously or currently oversee include those on Tier 1 (i.e., prevention for all students) social-emotional learning (SEL) programs such as developing a multifaceted leadership-focused implementation strategy to enhance program adoption and delivery and evaluating the usability of commonly-used programs as well as redesigning Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Tier 3 intensive treatment) specifically for implementation by school-based mental health providers.
Vaughan received a Master of Social Work from the University of Chicago and is interested in the root causes of implementation inconsistencies that result in disproportionately compounded limitations to accessing resources for marginalized populations.
