More about Dr. Yip
Jason’s research examines the question: how do new technologies support collaborative learning in children and families? I answer this question by: (1) building innovative technologies for new collaborations; (2) examining how current technological trends influence family collaborations around learning; and (3) developing new co-design methods for family collaboration and learning.
He uses theories and design methods from human-computer interaction, learning sciences, and library and information sciences to study these family interactions. Jason is the director of KidsTeam UW, an intergenerational group of children and adults that work together as design partners in the co-design of new technologies for families.
