Pat is a licensed clinical psychologist with 30 years of experience researching the effectiveness and implementation of psychosocial interventions for depression in a variety of patient populations and settings.
She is currently leading two clinical trials: one comparing an evidence-based treatment to a new depression intervention focused on reward processing designed to be easily delivered by community clinicians. The other will test the effectiveness of a therapeutic video game that was created to improve cognitive control in middle-aged populations and older adults.
Pat has served on the American Psychological Association’s Advisory Board for Treatment Guideline Development, the NIMH Advisory Council, and has done awarding-winning research and implementation work with safety-net clinics and underserved communities.
