More about Dr. Popović
Zoran received a BS with Honors from Brown University and an MS and PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. His research interests lie in computer graphics and interactive games research, with a focus on scientific discovery through game play, learning games, high-fidelity human modeling and animation, and control of realistic natural motion. Zoran led the team that produced “Foldit” — an experimental research project involving an online video game about protein folding. The results of this project were later published in Nature. His contributions to the field of computer graphics have been recently recognized by a number of awards including the NSF CAREER Award, Alfred P.
