Carol’s research has focused on collaborating with schools and teachers to develop effective strategies and teacher practices leading to the implementation of positive support in the classroom. As an implementation scientist, she has extended her work to support the implementation of these practices by developing and using technology (ibestt.org) supporting individualized behavior planning, coaching, and family engagement. She is committed to the preparation of effective teachers to support the behavioral health of all children and families.
Carol is the Associate Dean for Research and Partnerships in the College of Education and a Professor of Special Education, the High-Incidence Program. She is also Core Faculty in the Haring Center for Research and Training in Inclusive Education and the School Mental Health Assessment, Research and Training (SMART) Center.
