Jill Locke, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the University of Washington Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, co-Director of the School Mental Health Assessment Research and Training (SMART) Center, a licensed child psychologist, and research faculty at the Seattle Children’s Autism Center. To date, her research has focused on the: 1) presentation of social impairment for autistic youth in inclusive school settings; 2) identification of best practices for autistic youth; and 3) understanding of successful implementation and sustainment of evidence-based practices (EBPs) for autistic youth in public school settings.

Along with Dr. Karen Bearss, Jill redesigned the Research Units on Behavioral Interventions (RUBI) program for use in Educational Settings (RUBIES) in the first ALACRITY Center grant. She and Karen will redesign the accompanying implementation strategy as one of three of the R34 projects in the current ALACRITY Center.
