Doyanne Darnell, PhD is Associate Professor at UW’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and provides psychological services at Harborview Medical Center. As core faculty with UWAC, she supports the R03 pilot program and monthly seminar for grantees. She serves in a similar role as core faculty with the University of Washington’s Suicide Care Research Center. 

Doyanne’s research focuses on addressing the needs of trauma survivors and the common comorbidities they experience such as posttraumatic stress, depression, anxiety, substance use, and suicidality. Her research aims to better reach patients through integrating brief behavioral interventions within general medical settings and deploying novel, technology-enhanced, scalable training for healthcare providers to deliver these interventions.
