Aaron is a licensed clinical psychologist and Co-Director of the UW ALACRITY Center. He also co-directs the School Mental Health Assessment, Research, and Training (SMART) Center, an implementation research and technical-assistance center focused on improving the accessibility, equity, and effectiveness of behavioral health services in education. Further, Aaron directs the Institute of Education Sciences-funded Research Institute for Implementation Science in Education (RIISE), an implementation research training program for education scholars.
Aaron holds an advanced certificate in user-centered design from the University of Washington’s Department of Human Centered Design and Engineering. His research focuses broadly on increasing the accessibility, efficiency, and effectiveness of community- and school-based interventions for children, adolescents, and families. Currently, Aaron is principal investigator on grants from the National Institute of Mental Health, Institute of Education Sciences, and other sponsors.
