More about Dr. Lyon

Aaron is a licensed clinical psychologist who co-leads the UW ALACRITY methods core. He’s also Director of the School Mental Health Assessment, Research, and Training (SMART) Center, which is an implementation research and technical-assistance center focused on improving the accessibility, equity, and effectiveness of behavioral health services in education. 

Aaron holds an advanced certificate in user-centered design from the University of Washington’s Department of Human Centered Design and Engineering. His research focuses on increasing the accessibility, efficiency, and effectiveness of community- and school-based interventions for children, adolescents, and families. Currently, Aaron is principal investigator on grants from the National Institute of Mental Health, National Institute of Justice, Institute of Education Sciences, and various local and national foundations across the U.S.
