Sean co-directs the ALACRITY Center and co-leads the center’s Methods Core. He draws upon a background in information science, human-centered design, and systems engineering to design and evaluate techniques for helping people make sense of data about themselves and the world around them.
Sean’s research focuses on designing and evaluating approaches that support people in personal data to support individual and group goals, such as gaining insights into and manage health and well-being. In this research, he focuses on the challenges of designing for collaboration and coordination to bring together the expertise necessary to understand and act on these data.
